In 1902 in Milwaukee, a city in the United States of America in the state of Wisconsin, Arthur Davidson and his friend William Harley, 21, built a prototype of a motorized bicycle. Their prototype is successful, although only three are sold in the next two years. The Harley-Davidson company was officially founded on August 28, 1903 by William Harley, Arthur Davidson, and his two brothers, William and Walter.
