Rare antique ebony sculpture of ebony woman from Sumba Island

Beautiful, rare and ancient ebony sculpture of a woman, this rare sculpture was made in the island of Sumba, depicting an ancestor. The sculpture has damage due to age, presumably over 100 years old. One-of-a-kind piece purchased in 1983 on the island of Sumba from a local collector of works of art.
