Yggdrasil | Irminsul:
Yggdrasil is the "World Tree", a giant central tree or column which binds and connects the nine worlds of the universe: Yggdrasil translates as Ygg = "terrible" and drasil = "steed". Yggr is another name of Odin, taking the meaning and connection to the steed of the God who had eight legs, indicating its connection with the manifest world as well as with the unmanifested. By Germanic tribes it was known as Irminsull and historically was an oak in wood or pillar venerated by the Saxons who were said linking heaven and earth. His name, Irminsull, is translated as "powerful pillar" and is derived from the ancient name Saxon Irmin for Odin (Old Norse: Jörmunr), then indicates the cosmic balance, order, personal power, spiritual creativity the ela hidden knowledge growth. The ancient symbol of Yggdrasil | Irminsull still continues to this day to be revered and honored in the form of the Christmas tree, which by the way is also linked to the Jewish symbolism of the tree of the sephiroth.
